BIOACTIVE CARBON (EXTRACTS OF HUMIC AND FULVIC ACID)
Our products use long- and short-chain BioActive Carbon molecules, which have the ability to support life. These BioActive Carbon molecules are extracts of humic and fulvic acids and are designed to work systematically in the body. These molecules bind with toxins in the body and, in addition to chelating them, leverage their ability to support life by repairing as they chelate.
Our BioActive Carbon molecules undergo a three-step proprietary process in which other molecules are attached to enhance their overall efficacy and ability to support the body as it removes biotoxins. These processes ensure that the molecules and their beneficial elements get where they need to go in the body without dissipation or loss of efficacy on the journey.
In short, BioActive Carbon is included because it binds, restores, directs and protects.
TRIPHALA
Triphala is classified as a tridoshic rasayana in Ayurvedic medicine as it promotes longevity and rejuvenation in patients of all constitutions and ages.
The formula consists of the fruits Amalaki or commonly known as Amla (Indian Gooseberry), Bibhitaki, and Haritaki of the three plants generally in equal proportions and has been used in traditional medicine in India for over 1,000 years (Charak). The physician Sushrut indicated that the formula is useful for treating ulcers and wounds.
As both Ayurveda and Western medicine agree that health and disease begin in the gut, Triphala represents an essential foundational formula as it promotes efficient digestion, absorption, elimination, and rejuvenation.
Charak describes rasayanas as having the qualities of supporting strength and immunity. Given these qualities and the tonic energetics, Triphala can be considered for use in the very young, the infirmed, and the elderly. Other classical Ayurvedic classifications attributed to the formula are shukrala, digestive, mild laxative at normal doses, bowel tonic at low dose, purgative at high doses, carminative, expectorant, antispasmodic, and bronchodilator.
Triphala is perhaps most well known for its use in general gastrointestinal health. Animal studies have shown that both aqueous and alcohol-based extracts of Triphala prevent diarrhea.
One human clinical trial that investigated the use of Triphala in patients with gastrointestinal disorders reported that treatment reduced constipation, mucus, abdominal pain, hyperacidity, and flatulence while improving the frequency, yield, and consistency of stool
HOLARRHENA (KUTAJA)
An ingredient that has shown utility in dealing with anemia, colic pain, diarrhea, hematuria, menorrhagia, obstetric conditions, spermatorrhea, and splenomegaly. The seeds of the holarrhena plant have been known to support the body in its efforts to remedy chronic dysentery. While the leaves have been used to treat chronic bronchitis, the bark has shown to be useful in supporting the body’s ability to overcome colitis.
Studies have been conducted to establish pharmacological basis for the known traditional benefits of holarrhena. These studies indicate that the gut stimulant and relaxant activities of Holarrhena antidysenterica are mediated possibly through activation of histamine receptors and Ca(++) channel blockade, respectively and one study provides sound mechanistic background for its usefulness in gut motility disorders such as constipation, colic, and possibly diarrhea.
CLOVE
Clove is an herb with many powerful health benefits. One of the reasons for the impressive resume of health boosts is because clove contains eugenol, which is one of the most potent germicidal compounds known to man.
Clove comes from a tropical tree called Syzygium aromaticum, typically grown hundreds of feet above sea level in countries like India, Indonesia, and Malaysia (Kamatou). The part of the clove most commonly used is the dried flower bud, harvested 4-5 years after the tree is planted, but the leaves and stems can also be used. Clove has a number of minerals, like iron, magnesium, potassium, and more, which are all important for optimal health and wellbeing. (Cortes)
You may have heard of clove being useful for oral ailments, like naturally numbing a toothache, for example, but it is a potent herb for fighting parasites, as well. Clove is especially effective against nearly all types of parasite eggs, which helps break the parasitic life-cycle and prevents further infection. Additionally, clove’s antimicrobial, antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties make it one of the most potent, broad-spectrum herbs in natural medicine. (Natural News)
People use clove to treat anything from scabies to parasitic larvae to staph infections to malaria. It pairs well with other herbs, like neem, vidanga, wormwood, mimosa pudica, and black walnut, for a complete parasite cleanse. It’s a key player in Formula 1, Microbe Formula’s anti-parasite support supplement.
In Ayurvedic medicine, cloves are used therapeutically and within cooking, for their benefits like enhanced circulation and improved digestive issues, bloating, and gas.
Clove contains caryophyllene, which is a spicy terpene also found in rosemary, black pepper, and cannabis. Caryophyllene has been shown in studies to be effective against bacterial infections, parasites, fungi, and overall inflammation. It significantly reduced the parasitic burden when used on infected mice, showing great promise for transfer of beneficial properties to human subjects, as well.
VIDANGA
Vidanga is a potent herb for killing roundworm. Roundworms, also known as nematodes, are typically found in soil (usually mixed with contaminated stool) and can travel into the human body through the vehicle of contaminated produce. They can also easily be transferred from hand to mouth, when their eggs get on something you touch and you don’t wash your hands well enough when you eat. Roundworm symptoms can be broad, but typically include nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, cramping, and sometimes cough. Though vidanga targets a variety of types of parasites and roundworms, two specifically have been studied extensively through research: hookworms and tapeworms. Vidanga has been shown to be effective against intestinal parasites, like hookworms.
Not only is vidanga effective against parasites, it’s also effective against fungus like Candida albicans. In the Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Studies in 2011, researchers found that vidanga effectively treated eight different fungal species, including candida.
Numerous studies have been done displaying the cognitive and neuro-protective properties from vidanga. One study, specifically seeking alternative treatments for stroke victims (listing stroke as the second leading cause of death worldwide), found vidanga to be extremely helpful, likely due to the abundance of antioxidants. Further studies have been completed on animal subjects, proving that preventative vidanga administered for just thirty days had significant positive effects on the brain and tissues. For example, vidanga lowered tissue damage (LDH) due to stroke, as well as lowered oxidative stress measures specifically in the parts of the brain involving the limbic system, long-term memory (hippocampus), motor function, language, and problem-solving (frontal cortex).
Practitioners are even looking to vidanga for alternative cancer treatment.
A large team of researchers from Harvard Medical, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and others recently conducted a study using form of vidanga to treat prostate cancer that was not resolved by castration. They found that in combination with radiation, embelia (or vidanga) was very effective in treatment of this type of cancer (Poojari). Another article explains the reason this herb is viewed as an antioxidant and cancer-preventative one: it regulates cell death. It has also been studied in breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, lung cancer, and many others.
NEEM
Neem has been known as the "village pharmacy," because it's useful against such a wide range of diseases and ailments. Neem fights pathogens at all stages of their life cycle, from eggs to larva to adult. It also helps remove the toxins released by the parasites when they die.
Extract of neem can eradicate both young roundworms, as well as their eggs. Total eradication of second-stage juvenile nematodes was found at 40% neem extract, but it took 100% of undilated neem to eradicate egg and inhibit their production.
Researchers have found a chemical compound, azadirachtin, to be an important component of neem’s effectiveness against bacteria. Azadirachtin is a phytochemical (specifically a limonoid) that is extracted from the neem seed, effective against bacteria and parasites in a number of ways.
Additionally, the nimbidin in neem seed is another chemical responsible for fighting inflammation, fungi, fever, histamines, and more. Because of these chemicals, neem has a broad-spectrum effect against bacteria.
