BACKGROUND
Doc Wheelwright originally made this recipe as a gift for people
who extended special courtesies to him when he traveled
and consulted. He demonstrated with his own skin that it was
designed to smooth out wrinkles on their faces and rejuvenate
the skin. People liked it so much, demanding more, that
Wheelwright’s son, Stu, began professional manufacture. Doc,
who was much weathered and beaten in his elder years, exhibited
rejuvenation of his facial skin, often noted by people who saw him
before and then again six months later. Doc donated some of this
formula to a young man with disfiguring facial burns who had run
out of skin-graft donor locations, and was credited with helping
the final grafts take hold and improve the disfigurement.
